Gather Supplies:
- Heat gun or hair dryer
- Plastic razor blades or vinyl wrap removal tool
- Adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol
- Microfiber or soft cloth
- Mild soap and water solution
Heat the Vinyl Wrap:
First, use a heat gun or hairdryer to warm up the vinyl wrap. This makes it more pliable and easier to peel off.
Begin peeling the vinyl wrap from one corner. Pull it slowly and at a low angle to prevent tearing. This helps remove the vinyl in bigger pieces rather which makes the job faster.
Continue Heating and Peeling:
Keep applying heat as needed while peeling off the vinyl. Work in small sections to avoid damaging the paint.
Use a Removal Tool:
If there are stubborn areas, use a plastic razor blade or a vinyl wrap removal tool carefully to gently lift the edges without scratching the surface.
Remove Adhesive Residue:
Once the vinyl is removed, there may be adhesive residue left on the vehicle. Apply an adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol to a cloth and gently rub away the residue. Here at our shop we use Rapid Tac adhesive remover which does wonders for adhesive residue. Here’s the link:

Inspect for Damage:
Inspect the vehicle’s paint for any damage or scratches. If you notice any, consider polishing or waxing the affected areas.
Final Cleaning:
Give the vehicle a thorough wash and wax to restore its shine and protect the paint.
Dispose of the Vinyl Wrap:
Dispose of the removed vinyl wrap properly according to local regulations.
